The Salt Lake City Police Foundation, established in 2011, is the official 501(c)(3) nonprofit partner of the Salt Lake City Police Department. Its mission is to strengthen the relationship between the community and the police force by supporting key initiatives in four areas: Community Outreach, Officer Camaraderie & Honoring Valor, Youth Programs, and Recruitment.
Community Outreach efforts foster trust and collaboration between residents and law enforcement. By emphasizing Officer Camaraderie & Honoring Valor, the Foundation recognizes the dedication and bravery of officers, boosting morale and promoting a supportive work environment.
Youth Programs are designed to engage young people, providing them with positive role models and building trust with law enforcement from an early age. These programs help to inspire the next generation and promote a sense of community responsibility.
Recruitment efforts ensure that the police department attracts diverse and talented individuals who are committed to serving the community with integrity and professionalism.
By promoting transparency and collaboration, the Foundation's overarching goal is to help build a safer, more connected city.
